Fact: Adults set tables and it involves more than a paper plate and plastic fork. Fact: Adults pause their current Netflix binge (most of the time). If we can accomplish the first one let’s call it a win. While our dinner setting idol is Lisa Vanderpump, we are MC Hammer broke and it’s not a joke. To design on a dime we went to our local craft store and with our Pinterest board and $20 in mind we found a pretty damn cute option.
Watch the video below to see how we stretched our budget into SUR Restaurant status. (COMING SOON!)
- Cardboard box
- Faux Moss
- Faux Flowers
- Wet Foam
Cut wet foam to box size. Leave about ¼” around the top so wet foam is not flush to the top. Cut faux moss to box size. Place wet foam inside box and cover with faux moss. Be sure to glue down the moss so it stays put! Cut the stems of the faux flowers leaving 1” – 2”.
Map out your heart shape by poking holes with scissors to insert flower stems (we started by poking heart center top, bottom and the high points on the left and right). Arrange flowers within pre-poked holes and finish heart outline shape. Feel free to leave it as an outline or fill the heart with remaining flowers. Monogram if you’re feeling fancy.
